From Mechanical Advantage

Cog is autonomous software development.

Describe the issue; Cog writes the code, opens the PR, addresses review, and merges.

Leverage, not code generation.

Cog doesn't just generate code — it orchestrates coding agents (Claude Code, Codex CLI, Gemini CLI, OpenCode) through a complete development lifecycle: issue, code, PR, review, merge, without a developer at the keyboard for the mechanical steps.

The category is autonomous developer leverage — Devin, Cognition, Factory, Amp — not coding agents. Cog's wedge: harness-agnostic, runs on your own machine, flat pricing, full lifecycle through merge. One developer, many Cogs, shipped PRs.

Five phases, one lifecycle.

Two interactive skills live inside your harness. Three autonomous phases run in the background. You describe what you want and approve the result; Cog handles everything in between.

  1. Capture

Turn a bug report or feature idea into a well-scoped GitHub issue. Cog investigates the codebase, asks the right clarifying questions, and files an issue grounded in technical reality.

  2. Shape

Decompose complex ideas into ordered, implementable issues. A Socratic scoping loop that challenges assumptions, surfaces trade-offs, and produces a backlog instead of a vague ticket.

  3. Build

Watches for unassigned issues. Self-assigns, creates a worktree, writes the code, runs format / lint / tests until green, self-reviews the diff, and opens a ready-for-review PR.

  4. Revise

When a reviewer requests changes, Cog reads every comment, implements the fixes, replies to each thread, resolves them, and requests re-review — with the original implementation session still in context.

  5. Merge

Once approved, Cog merges main into the branch, resolves conflicts, fixes any CI failures, handles post-push review cycles, and squash-merges when everything is green.

$1,000 / month

Flat. Unlimited repos. Bring your own coding-agent subscription — Claude Code, Codex CLI, Gemini CLI, or OpenCode — and Cog orchestrates it. No tiers, no per-seat, no usage metering.
